Tired of the Same Old Sausages? Try this Cheese Hungarian Sausage Sisig Recipe!

This sizzling Cheese Hungarian Sausage Sisig is a unique twist on the classic Filipino dish. If you're a fan of spicy and savory flavors, you're going to love this! It's a great way to spice up those leftover sausages you no longer wanna eat fried! It's time to transform them into Sisig!

Ingredients:

6-8 pieces of Cheese Hungarian sausages, sliced into small pieces

1 large onion, chopped

2 tbsp of soy sauce / liquid seasoning

2 tbsp of vinegar

1 tbsp of calamansi juice

1 tbsp of butter

2 tbsp of cooking oil

1 tbsp of liver spread (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a pan over medium heat, add cooking oil and sauté sliced Cheese Hungarian sausages and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sausages are browned and slightly crispy. Turn off the heat when desired crispiness is reached.
  1. Add the onion, soy sauce, vinegar, and calamansi juice to the sautéed sausage. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  1. On a hot sizzling plate, let the butter melt and pour in the seasoned sausage. Serve hot and enjoy!

You can adjust the level of spiciness by adding chili peppers. If you are not a "Sisig Purist", you may do the Manila Sisig version and add some mayonnaise and egg to the mixture. This recipe can also be made with other types of sausages such as Schublig and Chorizo, or even the Wagyu cubes which are all available at Meat Bros! This dish is perfect for busy weeknights or when you're craving something flavorful and satisfying to pair with some cold beer. Get creative and get cooking today!
